Hi, I’m Jenie.
Before Root to Leaf Nutrition existed, I was navigating my own fertility journey. I spent years doing everything I believed was “right,” only to learn that my path would require medical intervention alongside holistic support. That experience reshaped how I understand fertility, preparation for pregnancy, and the kind of care people truly need during this season of life.
About Root to Leaf Nutrition
Root to Leaf Nutrition was created from the belief that true health support has to look at the whole person, not just a diagnosis, a lab value, or a list of foods.
My work is rooted in evidence-based nutrition, personalized care, and deep respect for the fact that bodies are complex, adaptive, and shaped by far more than diet alone.
I support individuals through fertility, hormone health, and major life transitions with an approach that is grounded, compassionate, and flexible, not rigid or prescriptive.
How this work began
Like many people drawn to integrative health, my path here is both professional and deeply personal.
I come from a background in integrative and functional nutrition, and for years I believed that if I did everything “right,” my body would respond the way I expected it to. I focused on nourishment, movement, stress support, and every holistic tool available to me.
What I wasn’t prepared for was learning that I had severe, asymptomatic endometriosis, and that despite all of my efforts, IVF would be necessary for me to become a parent.
Going through infertility, surgery, and IVF fundamentally changed how I understand fertility, medicine, and what real preparation for pregnancy looks like. It taught me that supportive care and medical intervention are not opposites. They are often meant to work together.
That experience is what shaped Root to Leaf Nutrition.
Who I work with
I support individuals who:
are trying to conceive naturally
are preparing for or undergoing fertility treatment (IUI, IVF, FET)
are navigating infertility or unexplained infertility diagnoses
want nutrition support that adapts to their cycle and real life
are looking for care that feels informed, compassionate, and non-judgmental
Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, unsure where to focused, or frustrated by conflicting advice. My role is to simplify, personalize, and support.
My Approach
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all nutrition, especially when it comes to fertility and hormone health. In fact, I know that it doesn’t work.
My work focuses on:
supporting the body from the foundation up
reducing unnecessary inflammation and stress
optimizing nutrition and digestion
tailoring care to individual hormone patterns, cycles, and treatment plans
prioritizing mental and emotional well-being alongside physical health
I work collaboratively with medical providers when appropriate and help clients understand how to support their bodies before, during, and after fertility treatment.
This is not about perfection. It’s about building resilience, nourishment, and clarity in a way that is sustainable and supportive.
What makes Root to Leaf Nutrition Different
A foundation in integrative, evidence-based nutrition
Lived experience with infertility and fertility treatment
Highly personalized care rather than generic plans
Collaboration with outside providers when needed
A calm, grounded approach that prioritizes both fertility and mental well-being
A Final Note
You don’t need to “fix” your body to deserve care or support. And you don’t have to navigate fertility or hormone health alone.
Root to Leaf Nutrition exists to offer clear next steps, compassionate guidance, and support that meets you where you are.
If you’re curious about working together, I’d love to connect.
